Wolfsgrubner Lake
The Wolfgrubner Lake is nearest to Briol. It is located on the Ritter high plateau near Oberbozen. Together with the Pragser Wildsee it is “one of the cleanest fresh water lakes in Italy”. You can also enjoy a bathing pass with your family in the Wolfsgrubner Lake.

Pond of Fiè
The Pond of Fiè can be reached from Briol/Barbiano if you follow the Staatsstraße in the direction of Bolzano/Bozen and then drive to Kollmann in the direction of Fiè. The lake is idyllically situated surrounded by forests and the panorama of the Schlern region. Here you can go on the Huber and Glfiererweiher and dodge the Pond of Fiè if it is too busy. Exploring the area by bike is a fantastic experience.

Montiggl
The remote Montiggler Lake is surrounded by idyllic forests and lies south of Bozen, just before the Kalterer Lake. It is a popular destination not only for bathing guests but also for cyclists.

Kalterer Lake
It is one of the largest lakes in the South Tyrol and is situated between and nestles between vineyards south of Bozen. The pleasant temperature of the water in summer attracts many bathers, sailers and windsurfers. It is also worthwhile hiking to Leuchtrenburg, to the Rosszähne or a pleasant walk or cycle around the lake.

Lake Carezza
The Lake Carezza lies behind Welschofen. The emerald green mountain lake offers a wonderful natural spectacle on sunny days: the Latemar and rose garden which are directly behind the lake are reflected like a painting. Also learn about the mysterious saga “Fairytale lake of the Dolomites” when you visit.

Pragser Wildsee
The “Pearl of the Dolomite lakes“ is near Val Pusteria/Pustertal and is our insider tip. The unique position in the middle of the Dolomites and the deep emerald green colour of the Wildsee will delight. Apart from swimming you can also go for a gentle walk around the lake or use it as a starting point for many mountain hikes.
